Is Swelling In The Testicles Due To Shingles?

Hi I had shingles and meningitis together about 5 years ago and am prone to outbreaks of shingles. I am currently 2 weeks into a bout of shingles and have been on oral acyclovir for around a week with no improvement, but now one of my testicles has swollen and feels like it has a lump in it which is painful could this be associated?

Hello,

There is very less chances to get swelling of testicles with shingles. It may be due measles or mums or epididymitis or orchitis et cetera.

Please consult your physician he will do scan of scrotum and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
