Is Swallowing Betadine Sore Throat Gargle Solution Harmful?
Hi there, I am abit concerned about swallowing betadine sore throat gargle solution, while I was gargling this morning. i accidentally swallowed some of the solution on 1ml of betadine combined with 20mls of water. Since then I havent been able to find out what to do and whether its serious or not. Please help. So far i have been feeling nortious as of the taste still in my mouth. What should i do?
Betadine is an anti-septic and accidental swallowing a small amount of the solution will not cause any major issues. You may feel nauseous or have a bad taste in mouth for a few hours. You may experience a mild diarrhea due to gastric irritation which will subside without any issues. Hence, do not worry.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
