Is Surgical Removal Of Ulcer In Oesophagus Advisable?

i have been diagnosed with gastritis and oesophigitis and have an ulcer in the high in the oesphegus which was to raw to biospy on first endoscopy im taking omeperozole 40mg per day have to ave another camera in jan if not healed i have been told i need surgery can you help with a little more information please. please excuse spelling errors.

I understand your concern.
Non-healing ulcer present in the oesophagus after taking medications would certainly need surgical resection to prevent certain complications like oesophageal stricture. Depending on the site and size of the ulcer, the surgery could be planned by endoscopically.
Prior to that, it needs to be confirmed weather it is cancerous or not by means of taking a biopsy and histopathological examination of the tissue material.
Kindly consult Gastroenterologist in this regard for proper evaluation and management.
