Is Surgery Advisable For A Person With Elevated Parathyroid Level?

My PTH is 183 and my calcium is 11.3. I have been diagnosed with hyper parathyroid is. I ve started to have terrible arms and leg pains that wake me up during the night. Would I be advised to have surgery ? I was diagnosed 10 years ago possibly. Seems symptoms are getting worse recently.

hi sir/mam,pth and calcium elevation is not the sole criterion for surgery.if the bone mineral density is normal or not too low, kidney functioning if normal and no stones then watchful waiting can be done avoiding surgery.please provide me some more details to assess the necessity of surgery.please give your bone mineral density test report, sestamibium parathyroid scan report.also provide the details of your kidney functioning,i.e;kidney stones if any.with the above details,i would be able to judge the need of surgery.thank you.take care.bye.
