Is Sugar Level Of 2.6 In A 70 Yr Old Female Normal?

I m 70 yr old female, on healthy diet, had a check up on Monday to assess the chances of developing heart problems, and was told I was at the lower end of moderate, (a score of 12). The results of cholesterol 2.59 and sugar 2.6 the nurse said were very good. However my daughter who is insulin dependant diabetic thought the sugar reading was very low, considering I had eaten a balanced lunch 2.5 hours before. What are your thoughts on this. I am having no symptoms.

Hello
Thank you for asking the question.
You were checked for random blood sugar. The blood tested 2.5 hour post prandial and it is 2.6
The normal random blood sugar level is 3-7.8 mmol/L.
But your testing time is at 2.5 hour postprandial, where sugar goes below normal level, brcause there is rapid uptake of sugar by tiisue due to glucose uptake.
So no need to worry about it. It is normal
Hope this will helpful to you.
