Is Sudden Syncopal Attack A Symptom Of Neurocardiogenic Syncope?
my father is getting attack of sycope without any prior intuition.we have done so many test for heart & Brain.nothing has been found, but now a doctor asked for tilt table test, can it be the symptom for neurocardiogenic syncope.please advise who is the best doctor for this treatment in kolkata, india.my father's age is 58yrs.we are very confused & tensed.also tell me wheather for this pacemaker is required, its started approx 4 yrs back.
The neuro-cardiogenic syncope (vasovagal) is one of the major types of syncop characterized by a sudden onset and a total recuperation within few minutes.
To diagnose it (or to exclude it) i also recommend to run the tilt test.
If the result is normal than don't worry about 30% of syncope are without any clear cause.
Hope it answered to your query! dr. benard
