Is sucralose safe when diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy?

Hi, my name is Clare, I m 28 and was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy last year. I m wondering if sucralose is safe? I ve cut out aspartame (Coke Zero etc) completely. Is it safest just to avoid all artificial sweeteners? What other food/drinks are potential triggers? Thanks.

Hello,

Sucralose is safe. Nothing much to worry and your treatment is in the right track. Artificial sweetners have no role in epilepsy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
