Is Stealing Things And Screaming Sign Of Personality Disorder?

My 7 year old nephew steals and stashes clean and dirty panties bras and bathing suits. He has been doing it for 2years. At first he only stole his mothers. Now he steals them from everyone. Weve even found panties that do not belong to anyone. He usually stashes them quickly in the same room they were in. Sometimes he locks himself in the bathroom urinates on them in the bathroom. Theyve even been found stuffed in flashlights. My sister moved recently and found that he had packed a backpack full of undergarments. Before he started this he would throw fits and scream and even hit and kick strangers. Do you think that this could be an outlet for a personality disorder?

Thanks for writing to healthcaremagic.

Personality disorder can't be stamped until age of 18 years reached.He might be getting pleasure from doing all these stuff.It might be component of ADHD(Attention Deficiet Hyperactivity Disorder) or may be paraphilias especially fetichism.

You must consult child psychiatrist for this because at this age it's more easy to unconditioned his behavioural pattern.
