hi i want to know that my lmp was 6 dec 2013 i have done ultrasound on 27 jan 2014 it showed 5 weeks 5days with no cardiac activity with size 3.5mm rest every thing was perfect after that i got it done again on 3 feb 2014 it showed 6 weeks 1day with size 4.1 mm ihave got spoting twice yesterday what to do? i have been taking inserting progestron tabs twice a day & weekly injections everyweek till now ihv taken 5 injections

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
You didn't mention whether fetal heart beat was present in the repeat scan or not.
If fetal heart beat was there, there is possibility of wrong dates and you can continue the pregnancy with regular antenatal checkups and ultrasound examinations.
If fetal heart beat was not there, that could be a blighted ovum.
In which case gestational sac develops without embryonic pole.
In that case better to go for termination of pregnancy.
It may not repeat in future pregnancies.
You can plan next pregnancy after 2 to 3 months and be careful from the beginning in future pregnancy.
Start folic acid tablets 3 months before next pregnancy.
