Hi and welcome to HCM

Some spotting is normal very early in pregnancy.
Bleeding in the first trimester is not always a problem. It may be caused by:

1. Having sex
2. An infection
3. The fertilized egg implanting in the uterus
4. Hormone changes

After first trimester, spotting is not common. Your doctor has prescribed right drug and you can continue under his care. Be very careful, don't do strenuous work, avoid sex, avoid travel. Get a repeat ultrasound to rule out any other complications. Take anti hypertensive medications as prescribed by your doctor.

Regards
Dr Santosh
