Is Spotting And Vomiting Normal During Pregnancy?

Hi, my wife is 28 yrs old, and 9 weeks pregnant as at today. She has been vomiting all she took today, and decided to be drinking milk, she has been on this for days. She later discovered a little blood stain on her underwear. Is there any Big Problem?

HI,
I understand your question & concern
-Vomiting is normal in pregnancy. It's due to increased pregnancy hormones to which mothers body is not used to.Usually it disappears after mother's body gets used to it. ( by 3 months pregnancy)Severity of vomiting depends on mothers sensitivity to hormones.
Usually non irritant/non spicy / sour /cold food items are well tolerated.
* She has to take rest/ can continue with cold milk diet ( 1 to half cup with sugar every 2 hours. She can have alternative food ( except above mentioned ones-) in between in small servings.
- Anti emetic drugs( Doxinate) / antacids ( Ranitidine)can be added as per your doctor's advise.
* It's not a big problem ,provided she completes her nutritional requirements. If not take her to your doctor for medication/ Iv drip as per need.
It will resolve by itself in 3-4th month at the most.
Thanks.
