Is Spotting After Intercourse A Sign Of Pregnancy?

That last two day I've wiped after urinating, and there has been light pink brownish color on the toilet paper. My boyfriend and I had sex yesterday but that was during the day, we haven't today, if that has anything to do with it? I don't have any other symptoms, I've had a bladder infection before and that couldn't be it. I'm very worried, I also forgot to take my birth control yesterday, haven't taken any since. What could this be, should I seek medical attention right away? Could it possibly me pregnancy?

Hallow Dear,

The cause for your blood stain does not seem to be related to sexual intercourse provided you have not started your sexual life very recently. In initial few intercourses, hymen (fibromuscular septum at the vaginal opening) gets ruptures (defloration) causing bleeding. It needs no treatment.

However, you have forgotten your birth control pills and then have discontinued them. It can lead to withdrawal bleeding.

You have got a history of urinary infection. Urinary infections are rather nasty infections and are known to recur. Sever urinary infection can cause passage of some blood in the urine. However, it would not be detectable only on wipe. Still it is safer to get urine examination done to look for any evidence of urinary infection. If found, you need appropriate antibiotics treatment for which you should report to urologist.

To me, it appears to be due to discontinuation of birth control pills. Resuming the pills will stop this bleeding.

I hope this helps you.
