Is Sore Throat A Side Effect Of Flagyl Medicines ?

Last Friday, July 18, I was given a prescription for flagyl for 7 days. Toward the end of the 7 days, approximately Thursday, I woke up with a sore throat. I read the side effects of flagyl and it said that a rare but serious side effect is a sore throat, is this something I should be concerned about?

Hello
Thank You for contacting HCM.

There are multiple factors of sore throat that include cold, infection, food and drugs. You can take general measures to cure it. I would suggest you followin things:
> Take hot water in a cup, add 1 table spoon salt in it. Perform gargles (mouth wash) with it three times a day for at least 3 days. It will give soothing effect.

AVOID:
> Chilled water
> Drinks
> Spicy food
