Is Smoking And Usage Of Lisinopril 5mg Safe?

Are there any interactions between smoking cigarettes and taking Lisinopril 5mg? I was just prescribed this today. I know that I shouldn't smoke with high blood pressure and U Anne's to quit after the first of the year. In the meantime will I be in danger?

Hi!
I had gone through your query and understand your concern.
Lisinopril is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure.
This drug doesn't interacts directly with smoking.There is no obvius danger if you smoke while you are taking this drug but you need to understand that smoking is one of the reasons you have high blood pressure and smoking doesn't help,it makes more difficult to control your BP.
You should stop smoking and the drug will be much more effective.
