Is Skipped Heart Beat Sign Of Heart Disease In Menopause?
I am 47 yrs old, female and I've been suffering skipped heart beats for more than 10 yrs now. The skipped beats attack usually lasted about 1 or 2 weeks and just disappeared and i felt normal for a few months. But this time it lasted for more than 1 month now. I've got my menopause at the age of 39 and my heartbeats is always below 55 beats/min. I feel like I am dying. Am I suffering from any heart disease?
Are you on any medicine, if yes let me know. Certainly you should get yourself evaluated. First you should get your thyroid test done, hypothyroidism may lead to slow heart rate. You will need ECG and holter monitoring, which is ambulatory 24 hrs ECG monitoring. You can review with reports.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Sagar Makode
