I appreciate your concern, what the complete history you gave here and the cough symptoms that you have are not related with each other just little care need to be taken while you cough like coughing action must not be too forceful, in my opinion cough suppressant can be tried, like Guaifenesin else it is nothing to worry hope this information helps.
