SEMEN ANALYSIS REPORT COLLECTION TIME 6.10 PM EXAMINATION TIME 6.45 PM A) GROSS EXAMINATION : VOLUME 10 ml COLOUR WHITISH VISCOSITY NORMAL LIQUIFICATION TIME 35 Minutes pH 8.0 B) MICROSCOPIC EXAMINATION . TOTAL SPERM COUNT 50 million / ml 20 - 150 MOTILITY : Active 40 % SLUGGISH 10 % DEAD 50 % MORPHOLOGY : . NORMAL 60 % ABNORMAL 40 % PUS CELLS 45 /HPF Please advise on my above report..

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

Your semen analysis report suggests infection with borderline decreased motility.Infection is indicated by presence of pus cells. Normally there shouldn't be any pus cells in semen.
Infection may be due to prostatitis,UTI etc.
You need antibiotics for infection.
Other investigation like routine hemoram,RBS,Ultrasound of pelvis should be done.Trans rectal sonography of prostate can be done if needed.

If motility doesn't improve with control of infection then you may need further investigations.
Rest of the findings like count,morphology are normal.
