Is Scanty Menstrual Bleeding Called Spotting?

Hi ! im 21 years old. i havent got my period since Nov 26,2015. Yesterday Feb 11 i got my period back since ive been irritated lately and sensitive , and so later that evening i peed and saw an apple like blood in it .I was so happy and thought i have it back .The next morning i check on it it did even filled the pad of atleast 1'8 :( is this what they call spotting? I need help. Please help me.

It is what is called spotting!!

If you persistently experience irregular periods, better to consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.
