Is Redness In The Eye Indicative Of A Broken Blood Vessel?

Last night my left eye became real red. I want to know if a blood vessel broke. Lately I have been experiencing pain on my back left side of my head (next to left upper ear) which pain goes to my upper top left side of my head and then shoots thru my left eye. Should I see an eye doctor or an eye, ear and throat specialist? I want to know what is going on.

you have to consult eye doctor. you should clarify about your having chronic cough or constipation. you have to exclude hypertension as per your symptoms this is a possibility. this is spontaneous and stops when the cause is treated the reason of rupture blood vessel can be related to any of reason you have been asked to clarify other reason can be bleeding disorder but it should be bilateral.
