Is Radiation Treatment Advisable After Lumpectomy?

I had a lumpectomy on my left breast..a tumor was removed and the pathologist report found cancer but the out edges were clear..Zero stage..my surgeon wants to remove my lymph nodes and my breast..and later do chemo and radiation ..Do I have any other option?

Hi,

Yes you need to undergo chemo and radio to clear the whole cancer cells and avoid metastasis also lymph node dissection to avoid lymphatic spread.
