Is Pregnancy Viable Even When There Is No Heart Beat In Fetus?
Hi, I'm on my second IVF cycle. I'm 7 weeks 6 days pregnant (It's Friday). My HCG levels were doubling, then they slowed, then they started rising again. I have a sac and fetal pole but no heartbeat. Can this still be a viable pregnancy. The doctor wants to do a DNC if there's no heartbeat by Monday.

1.No pregnancy can not be viable if there is no heart beat.
2.In your case with 7-8weeks pregnancy with out cardiac activity already takes towards failed pregnancy.
3.Some times there could be error in LMP so one always ask for a repeat scan to confirm.
4.Genarally trans vaginal scan by 5-6weeks, trans abdominal 6-7weeks heart rate could be monitored.
5.If the G sac corresponding to 7-8weeks with out heartbeat - its should worry.
