    Is pregnancy possible with PCOS?

I was diagnosed with PCOS about a year ago. We are trying to conceive a baby. My gynecologist took blood tests and mentioned that my insulin levels are too high. A week a ago I had these tests done again to follow-up on my PCOS (because I haven't had a period since January), my insulin levels are fine. My doctor now mentioned that there is nothing he can do for me because my insulin levels are correct. My husband is devastated - is there any other affordable way to get pregnant while i've got PCOS?

Hello
You are having PCOS ( Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome ) .
Initially you were having Hyperinsulinemia and now this is normal .
Insulin through G F receptor synergises with L H to promote stromal luteinization , follicular atresia and stimulation of androgen producing cells .
No doubt high level promotes follicular atresia but otherwise a pcos cases also get pregnancy ( in spite of normal level of insulin ) .
Get in follicles study ( size of dominant follicle important as it must be around 19-20 mm at the time of ovulation i.e. 14 -15 day ( after 1st day of menses ) }.
So consult a infertility specialist and get his opinion.
