Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

At 50 years with PCOD it is unlikely to get pregnant. In addition you are taking OC pills. You can get an ultrasound scan to confirm your ovulation or Hormonal study to confirm ovarian function. Accordingly you can stop OC pills and enjoy sex.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

I have been on mononessa for about four months so last month I took the pill late about 3-5 hours late and two days I missed a pill and took two the next day. I started a new pack on sunday and have been taking them correctly but I had unprotected sex today, do I need to buy Plan-B? what is the chance that I might be pregnant?

I am taking Lo Loestrin FE and this is the beginning of my second month. I take the pill every day, but not at the same time. It s always usually before or around lunch. I had unexpected, unprotected intercourse last night and am worried that I could have gotten pregnant since I don t stick to a specific time of taking the pill everyday. Should I go buy Plan B? Or are my chances too low to spend the money?
