Is Pregnancy Possible While On Birth Control Pills?

I am on ginette 35 since 3 months. Last month I missed some days , not taking the pill . But I have completed my course. I had an unprotected sex yesterday that is after a week I was done with the pills . Can I get pregnant ? Shall I go for I-pill It hasn t been 24 hours I had sex yet.

I understand your concern.
Birth control pills offers 99% protection against pregnancy when you take them regularly at the same time in a day.
If you miss the dose or take it irregularly, it always carries a risk of becoming pregnant.
Hence, it is advised to use other modes of contraception like condom and spermicides while having intercourse during such circumstances, until you get your periods and start the next schedule of pills.
If the unprotected intercourse is performed within 72 hours, you can take emergency contraceptive pill such as i-pill. You need to get withdrawal bleeding within 3 weeks from the day of the pill intake.
If it is beyond 72 hours, you need to wait till you get your periods. If there is delay in getting periods, you need to take urine pregnancy test and seek medical attention promptly.
