Is Pregnancy Possible While On A Birth Control Patch?
Hello. I had the last day of my period on Saturday, I didn t put my birth control patch on until Sunday after intercourse. I m not sure if I ever ovulate or what exactly it is because of being on the patch you aren t supposed to...anyways twice now when I ve used the bathroom I have a stringy mucus in a thick line with a tinge of red. Just curious what this is.
First, let me tell you that the stingy mucus in a thick line with a tinge of red that you have noticed is nothing but is the leftover residual blood from your last period.
And secondly, if you've had intercourse on the next day after the last day of the period, it's just fine. You are not going to be pregnant because ovulation will start almost after two weeks so you are safe.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
