Is Pregnancy Possible While On Petogen?

1. I am 17 years on the Petogen injection, I was 13 days late for my next appointment and had unprotected sex is there a possibility that I could get pregnant without having my period (which I never had in 17 years). 2.Should you get a period to get pregnant.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Menarche is the first occurrence of menstruation(periods). You should have got menarche by now. Menstrual cycle is a reproductive cycle for production of oocytes & to make the uterus ready for pregnancy. Visit ER, your general health needs to get examined. You may need hormone therapy. Anemia may be the cause in some people who are not able to menstruate. Pentogen is Medroxyprogesterone used to regulate ovulation & to treat irregular menstrual period. Yes, sometimes pregnancy does occur(missed doses). But since you have not attained menarche yet, chances are low.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K.
