Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can I fall pregnant while on oralcon? I haven t been taking my pill at the exact time specially in weekends I am out with my times. I have been experiencing backache nausea and discharge but have still been taking my pill ever since. Is it possible that I am pregnant and will the pill harm my unborn baby?
Hello dear I understand your concern Do not worry, pregnancy is not possible. Oralcon is contraceptive pill and have just 0.5-1.0 % failure rate. So it will highly effective in preventing the pregnancy. Take it regular on specific time by putting reminder in mobile. Regular use also decrease side effects. In most cases, it does not cause any effect on the baby. But it should be assessed by the gynecologist by USG scan to confirm the healthy baby. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, take proper rest, tablet diclofenac for pain, maintain proper pelvic hygiene, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise. Hope this may help you
