Is Pregnancy Possible Here?

I began taking the contraceptive pill Ava 30 ED on the third day of my period. I continued taking it for seven days but it wasn t at exactly the same time on each of these seven days. Some days a took it maybe two-three hours early or late. I then had intercourse without a condom after taking my 7th pill. I continued taking the pill as normal from that day only I m sure to take it at exactly the same time. Is there a chance I am pregnant?

Hi,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. During the first two or three cycles after initiating the oral contraceptive, additional protection is needed. This is because ovulation suppression may need a couple of cycles with a combination pill and during this phase, fertility remains unaffected. In the current scenario, you stand a risk of conception since you are only in your first cycle of medication. If you have regular 28-30 day cycles, you had the intercourse during the relatively safe period and hence have lesser chances of conception. Please wait for your next period and get help if you notice any irregularity or if you miss it. Please use additional protection from now on. Hope this helps.
