Is Pregnancy Possible Due To A Delayed Or Absent Period?

I was sick for three weeks because I had bronchitis so my doctor put me on antibiotic right away, she also gave me cough medicine. A week later it was somewhat better, but i was super congested in my nose and throat because of excessive mucus. So my doctor put me on Methylprednisolone (4mg) and more cough medicine. I had unprotected sex while I was on Methylprednisolone, and now I am 4 days late for my period. It had been 8 days since the sex, and I took 3 pregnancy test. the first response one. All three tests came out negative. I keep on feeling like i'm going to have my period but i haven't. On top of all this, i was very stress because i am freaking out that i might be pregnant, school work, and family problems.
on the side effect of methylprednisolone said that it can cause menstrual irregulation or absent period.
so it is possible for me to be pregnant?

Hi there, I have understood your concern. I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1 ) First of all do not panic.

2 ) As you might be aware that in a woman with regular cycles day 10 to 20 of the cycle is the most fertile period of cycle. If you happen to have unprotected sex act in this period, then You Stand chance to get pregnant.
As per your history, you had unprotected sex in the days prior to your expected date of the cycle. Also your urine pregnancy tests are negative.
With this back ground, you can assume that you are not pregnant.
In case of doubt, blood beta HCG test and USG will be of help.

3 ) Your delay in getting the periods can be due to some hormonal changes or stress of illness on your body.

You can simply wait for the onset of periods or induce the periods with progesterone tablets. Your treating doctor can guide you further about the prescription doses and withdrawal bleeding of the same.
