Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking A Contraceptive Pill?
i have a question, i had unprotected sex sunday night and like two/three hours after i took the Take Action pill and yesterday i started bleeding and today still, it looks like normal period bleeding just not as heavy. having some cramping. Does it mean I m pregnant? or am i safe?
Hello dear Understand your concern Bleeding after taking 'take action pill' does not indicate the pregnancy. It may be your normal period or breakthrough bleeding. Breakthrough bleeding is common after the emergency contraceptive pill as it contain high progesterone. It will disappear in next 2 days. Your normal period may be delayed by 7-9 days as pill prolongs the second phase of cycle. Emergence contraceptive pill has five percent failure rate. So if your period will delay by the 12-14 days then confirm the pregnancy by urine pregnancy test and or blood HCG. If pregnancy will be there then still you can terminate it by using abortion pill under the advice of gynecologist. Hope this will help you
