Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Plan B After Unprotected Intercourse?
Hello, I had unprotected sex two days before my ovulation. He did not ejaculate, but there is a possibility of precum being present . I took an emergency contraception 12 hours later ( plan b one step ) , and five days later I experienced bleeding which started light but ended heavy with clots . I am wondering if this can be implantation bleeding or just a side effect of the pill .
Hello dear Understand your concern Chance of pregnancy is only 4-5 % as you took plan b pill with in 12 hour after sex. Bleeding after 5 days is not a implantation bleeding. It is withdrawal bleeding due to high progesterone in the plan B pill. It will goes in 3-4 days. Next period may be delayed/earlier or heavy. If period will be delay by 12-14 days then confirm the pregnancy by Urine pregnancy test as some faiulre rate. You can terminate the pregnancy by abortion pill (by consulting the gynecologist) up to 9 week of pregnancy if you will become pregnancy (failure of plan B pill). Hope this may help you
