Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Negative Result In Pregnancy Test?
Hello Dr.
i had unprotected sex with my girlfriend on the1-3 of october, which was her unsafe period.
i bought her postinor to take on the 3rd of october.
her next menstruation was suppose to be on the 19 of november, we waited and expected it, but never came. we did a urine pregnancy test but she was negative. i was soo scared, so on the 22nd of november, i bought her mifepristone 10mg, after 4-5 hours, she had a blood flow.
the next day she had a little clot of blood in her pad. it lasted for just 2 days.
now is the month of december, she was suppose to have a menstruation on the 23 of december, and she still hasnt got it.
please i want to know what can be the problem.
and i want to know if you can test negative on urine test and can still be pregnant ?
i am now very scared, i do not want a baby now.
please help me

First of all, if you are not ready fot a baby please practice safe sex and only safe sex. Next, has your partner not had a period since the unprotected sexual contact? If so, I would recommend a visit to the doctor to check on her status with the help of an ultrasound scan.
Yes, many women do return a negative result to home pregnancy tests until 3 months into their pregnancy, so it is certainly possible.
