Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Being On Birth Control Pills?
Can anyone help? Me and my gf had sex 2days after her period and we just want to make sure that she wont get pregnant and we didnt use a condom. And the next 24 hours we decide to do something we bought a nordette the white pills, we follow the instructions like others did. First 4pills and then the next 12hrs another 4.. It is done now and shes having this palpitation is it normal for her? Im scared on what might happen to her, and another thing is that will she become pregnant? Pls help thank you in advance!
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Unprotected intercourse always carries a risk of pregnancy. In your case, it is less likely as the time you had intercourse was not during the fertile period. Also you have followed emergency contraceptive measures by taking birth control pills as instructed. Kindly wait for 3 weeks from the day of intake of the initial dose of pill for breakthrough bleeding to happen, which ensures your partner is not pregnant. In case this doesn't happen, you need to seek medical attention immediately. She is having palpitations because of her anxiety. Let her not worry much and wait for her bleeding to happen.
