Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I will be 50 yo in a week and I stopped taking birth control pills a month ago. I am sexually active and have not been using any other form of contraceptions. My OB said its unlikely that I would get pregnant at this age. My breasts have been tender within a week since I got off the pill. Is breast tenderness a normal reaction to getting off the pill? I ve been taking the pill for 20+ years.

Is Pregnancy Possible At The Age Of 50?
Hello, As age advances possibility of pregnancy diminishes as there is very little oocyte reserve. Chances are very little at the age of 50. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Deepak Sundriyal, Oncologist
