Is pregnancy possible after taking Plan B?

Hi doctors, I recently had unprotected sex with my boyfriend this happened about 3 days ago he did not cum in me but after sex I still peed and washed myself because of the precum I took a plan b pill the next morning about 23 hours after sex for precaution and as of now 3 days after I’m still freaking out about getting pregnant. This was my first time and I’m honestly paranoid. As far as symptoms I pee often (not sure if that’s a symptom, how can I fix that?) also I have small cramps like if my period was planning to come, I do feel a little bloated but I’m not constipated.. my last period ended around April the 14 so I should’ve been expecting my period soon I’m usually regular unless I’m stressing.... is there any possibility of me being pregnant? Thank you in advance I’m just anxious I know it’s too soon but what should I expect? When will I know if the pill worked

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

According to your description the possibility of pregnancy is less. As there was no ejaculation and you took the emergency contraceptive pill within 24 hrs of the intercourse. According to manufacturers you can expect around 85% of protection. Increase frequency of micturition can be due to small abrasions due to intercourse as it is first time or sometimes possible infection. Abdominal cramps and bloating sensation can be due to the side effects of emergency contraceptive pill, as it will contain high dose of hormones. Usually you can expect withdrawal bleeding after around 7 to 10 days of intake of emergency contraceptive pill. So, if you do not get bleeding even after that or if you miss your expected date of periods, please go for urine pregnancy test once.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

I have recently been diagnosed with acute pancreatitis. I was pregnant and in January, at 34 weeks, gave birth via emergency c-section to a beautiful baby girl; we were both rushed to ICU, in a very poor state. I was given two wonderful days with my baby, but she was too poorly to continue her fight. I am now physically on the mend; I have always had a healthy diet and exercised well. My diet is now completely low fat and I am taking fenofibrate for my condition. My trigylceride level on diagnosis (4 days after birth) was at 15 (?), hopefully that has come down, being tested again next week. What I really need to know is whether I will be able to have more children in the future, and when, if possible, my partner and I can even consider trying again? I know, following a cesearean, ideally you should wait for 12 months before conception, however my pancreatitis may increase such a time scale. We just miss our baby so much. Thank you for listening. i am 30yrs married female, weight 55kg,ht 164cms. For last 1yr i am planning for a baby. I am diagnosed with PCOD in 2009 and was put on glyciphage 500 and diane for almost 2yrs. On feb 2011 i conceived on ubiphene and duphastan but had a miscarriage after 6 weeks. Since then doctor advised protected sex for 6 months, now that is over i am again planning but doctor said to try without any medication. I am taking folvite from the time i am planning for pregnancy. My husband s semen analysis are also normal. My all other tests like HSG,thyroid, insulin level, prolactin, hormonal studies, blood cell counts are all normal. Currently she has stopped glyciphage since my insulin level are within normal limits and has advised me to take only nacfil 600mg thrice daily along with folvite. My periods have become very normal since my miscarriage though i always had a delayed cycle. Can you plz suggest whether i am on proper treatment or not? Can i conceive?
