Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Positional Vertigo Managed With Methylprednisolone?
I was diagnosed with Positional Vertigo. I went to my DR and he prescribed Methylprednisolone 4 mg dosepk. He also prescribed Is this commonly prescribed for this? He also prescribed travel sickness 25 mg tab chew. I also need to know if I can drink orange juice with both of these?
Positional vertigo is a symptom. It may be due to different causes. Among these causes are also possible inflammation of the vestibular nerve for which Methylprednisolone is used. So if the doctor thinks that as a possible cause it is commonly prescribed.
As for the travel sickness tab that is to address the symptom and alleviate it, so can be used independently of the cause. As for the orange juice it can safely be used with those.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olsi Taka,
