Is Pneumonia Contagious?

last one month my daughter diagnose with pneumonia, Dr. started augmentation but it did not work and there was reaction. so after two days Doctor gave another medicine Lino Span and it started working. She is almost OK and taking Linospan three times a day two tablet of 100 DT each time. Now my youngest daughter who is 3.3 years old started same cold cough and fever 102, 103 after duration of 6 yrs each from last two days. we consulted doctor yesterday and Doctor has givn Augmentation DDS 2.5 two times and Alex 5mm 3 times. Q. Is she got infected same pneumonia from elder one. Q2. she do vomit after 1/2 or one hours after taking Augmentation DDS . is Augmentation DDS is not suiting her. Q3. I have asked Doctor to do X Ray of chest, but he advised only to do after 3 days as it will not come in diagnose now ?

Yes pneumonia can be contagious
If the Augmentin makes her vomit every time she takes it she needs a different antibiotic
No need for a chest x-ray right now
