Is Pins And Needles In Different Parts Of Body Caused Due To Discontinuing Pexeva?

Yes, thank you. I am currently being weaned off the antidepressant Pexeva. I have been taking it for 3-4 years. 10mg. I have been experiencing tingling & pins&needles in different parts of my body. I read that this may be a side effect of discontinuing the drug. Is that true?

hello,
Yes ,the anti depressant medicine you were taking can cause variety of withdrawal symptoms in many people that may include strange touch sensations you are experiencing. This can happen if you stopped or weaned off suddenly.stopping medicine slowly and gradually may help in some people rather than stopping it abruptly. So talk your doctor about your complains and be sure before discontinuing treatment that you have undergone thorough clinical examination by your doctor. You should not stop treatment on your own. So talk to your doctor.Be healthy and have a stress free life.
thank you.
