Is Physical Therapy Advisable For Overlapping Collar Bone?

My friend was thrown from a motorcycle and landed on her right side. Where the collar bones meet in the front, one is overlapping the other one instead of being separated. Her shoulder is also injured - I don t know the specific injury but it hurts if it droops. She has been told PT might be the answer - strengthen the muscles in the shoulder and that will help the collar bones go back in place. Does this sound like a reasonable treatment to you?

I do not think it is right treatment for it as if fracture is overlapping then it means that clavicle is not in the perfect position. You have not mentioned when did this injury occurred but if it was less then 3 weeks then it is best to get operative treatment. It will need a small plate fixation for the clavicle and arm pouch for immobillization.
