Is Persistent Cough In An Infant A Concern?

My 5 month old has been coughing a lot at night, to the point of vomiting. His nose seems a bit stuffy and he s drooling a lot from teething. Should I be worried about the cough? He s had it for about a week - no other issues and is a very happy baby all day. Some coughing during the day.
