Is Pellet Poop And Smelly Yellowish Brown Mucus Normal?

My son is almost 2 years old. Yesterday morning he had tiny pellet poop and a very tiny amount of mucus type stuff in his diaper that was yellowish brown in color and quite smelly. This morning he had more pellet poop and just a tiny bit more of the mucus stuff clumped to one piece, same color same smell. Only two times this have ever happened. Is this normal or should i make him a doctor appointment?
