hi doctor my name is kusum. i have epilepsy . it is complex partial seizurewith automatism. is it a psycharatric disorder. reports me reason ka pata nahi lag paya h.i have problem in dealing with people.i have also a problem in making eye contact with people . please help me. my age is 23.

No partial seizures or epilepsy are not psychiatric illnesses. they are neurological in origin. Most accepted opinion on why seizures happen is increased in brain electrical activity. Dealing with the epileptic patient should cover the psychological aspect also, key is to understand the and explain the etiology of the disease to the patient, and i hope now you know more about it from my answer. Dont feel ashamed by your disease, its like any organic disease it happened to be in the brain, believe in yourself and dont let this affect your life still young and your disease will get better under proper supervision.
