Is Painful Bowel Movement With Blood Due To Hashimotos Disease?

I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease. I am unsure if this is an affect of the disease, but I tend to have painful bowel movements, which result in mild to severe blood loss (toilet and toilet paper) Bright red. Constipation usually is the cause.

Hashimotos disease is a form of hypothyroidism.
Hypothyroidism, if untreated, can cause constipation, and constipation can cause painful bowel movements. If the stool is very hard and forms sharp lumps they can injure to rectal mucosa and result in rectal bright red bleeding.
If your hypothyroidism is treated, which it should be, and your thyroid function test have returned to normal, and even if you are still slightly hypothyroid, your doctors should look for other reasons you have blood in the stool, which is always a concern.
Rectal hemorrhoids: external or internal are a common benign cause of rectal bleeding.
