Is Pain Around Chest Symptom Of Heart Attack?

i have had chest pains around the rib cage for 20 years or more.

The osteopath and chiropractor both said it is muscle spasticity and spastic torticolis.

Luckily treatments in the form of intrasegmental traction, tens, multimatic vibrator relieved and

cured it.

But as the years go by, I am worried that it could be a precursor to heart attack.

My blood pressure is normal around 125/80 and pulse around 70.

The recent EKG says the "sinus rhythm left atria abnormality".

My mum died of heart attack at 82 and so I am worried.

Should I take an ultrasound test and an 'endopad' test?

Thanks.

Welcome to HCM

TMT – Treadmill exercise ECG (may be with thallium isotope) – is the ideal non-invasive way to evaluate ischemia (reduced blood flow / Coronary Artery Disease)
Also evaluate risk factors like Blood Pressure, Sugar, Cholesterol and so on

The treating doctor may suggest more, based on his assessment of the situation.
