Is Pacemaker Required In Conditions Of Heart Failure?

my mother had a heart attach 2 weeks ago. total LAD blocked, had 2 stents placed. was in sinus rhythm but when up for a walk went into afib 130 which went down to 100 at rest. stayed in afib for 24 hours then spontaneous convertion to sinus. when home with diagnosis of heart failure with an ejection fraction of 45. now doc wants place pacemaker in 3 months....why?

You do not require Pace Maker because your E F is more than 40 .
if A F is confirmed you are in need of anti coagulant.
