Is Oral Antibiotic Sufficient For Vaginal Yeast Infection?

I am experiencing pain and burning in my vaginal area along with red bumps/blisters. I am on vacation and went to an urgent care facility and was diagnosed with a yeast infection. I was given an oral antibiotic and was instructed to use monistat. The symptoms are not getting better. Could this be something else?

Hi,

Yeast infection can be cured by anti-fungals. You cannot use antibiotic to get relief. You can take Fluconazole 150 mg after food once in a week and make sure that your free of liver disease hence it may cause liver failure.

I Hope I have answered your query. If you have further doubts , I would be happy to help you. Happy day.
