Is Omnacortil For Cough Safe For Kids?
Hi,
My son is 2.5 years. We have recently moved to Bangalore and since then he has developed wheezing cough. The doctor has asked us to nebulize him with asthalin however since last 2 days his cough has worsened and the doctor as asked us to nebulise him every 4 hours with asthalin and duolin alternatively. Also if his condition does not improve in the next 3 days she has asked us to give him omnacortil forte 6 - 7 ml for 3 days. As omnacortil happens to be a steroid I am worried for my child

You can use for an acute disease for short duration for 3-5 days and there's not much harm in that, it will reduce the inflammation
