Is Nutritional Supplement GABA Advisable For Fitness?

I am 23 year old male, in good health, considering taking the nutrition supplement GABA (gamma-Aminobutyric acid) to achieve personal fitness goals.
As with any supplement, I want to do my due diligence before putting anything in my body. I've read several endorsements for the product, but I want to be sure before I invest my personal capital in it. Thanks.

Hello,
You are wise to investigate GABA further. GABA can have beneficial effects on the body or it may actually increase depression. It can interact with other meds and nutrients, but essentially it is used as a nootropic (smart drug) and for stress release. It works synergestically with nitric oxide releasing agents.
Here is a well-researched site that will go into education on GABA far beyond the restrictions of our answer box.
