Is Numbness In Leg Related To Spine?

My left leg recently has been feeling sort of numb, kind of like it is not getting circulation. I have normal movement and no pain just a feeling that it is cold and dead like. It usually starts within an hour after I get up in the morning and stays that way most of the day. I don t notice it as much when I am laying down. Could this be back related? I can t really pin point where the numbness is as it seems to be my whole left leg. Thank you
