Is My Child Under Grown With High Appetite?

My six year old little girl is ALWAYS hungry. As in, she way out eats my husband and myself and within 10 mins of getting up from the table she says she's hungry again, but she is not in a major growth spurt. She's in the less than 50% for height and weight for her age. She has also started waking up in the mornings with swollen hands. She says they're not "asleep" or tingling, but they're so swollen she can't make a fist. And its only her hands that do it. I haven't noticed her feet or face.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello. i just read through your question.
Her rate of growth related to her excessive appetite could be normal. The hand swelling is a potential issue thought. this could be normal, or it could point to a GI or Rheumatological problem. All can be treated. I recommend consulting with your doctor so the correct diagnosis can be made and the appropriate treatment plan implemented.
